Metalprove has assumed a leading role in the Supervision of Works for the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP); in fact, since January 2020 we have been following the construction and laying of the pipes along the offshore line in the Adriatic Sea, 104 km long between the coasts of Albania and Italy. Our company, proud to participate in this project of international interest, is employing the best inspectors on the "Castoro Sei", a SAIPEM semi-submersible vessel, to monitor the processes of mechanized welding and TOFD+Phased Array automatic ultrasonic testing.
MECSPE, the largest national event on innovations for the manufacturing industry, has dedicated to Metalprove an article in the official magazine related to the next event; it will be held at the Fiera del Levante in Bari from 28 to 30 November 2019. The "Meccanica" tabloid will be distributed through newsstands in free pairing with the newspaper "Il Giornale" and the local press of the Apulian territory as well as at the offices of Confindustria, Unioncamere and the Institute for Foreign Trade - ICE already I.T.A. Italian Trade Agency.

It is an original way to make Non-Destructive Testing known even to those who are not experts in the field.
Metalprove has successfully completed Non-Destructive Testing activities in the construction of the "Variante Spina di Pomezia" natural gas pipeline DN 200 DP 12 owned by SNAM Rete Gas.
Experimentally, semi-automatic ultrasounds (Phased Array + TOFD) were carried out to replace radiography in testing of 8-inch diameter welds.
The excellent results obtained can be used by the Customer to modify the current specification, in order to use SA-UT starting from thicknesses lower than the current limits (8 mm) and therefore guaranteeing higher safety conditions in SNAM construction sites, often located in urban areas with high population density.
RINA Consulting has entrusted Metalprove with the supervision of material traceability, welding, non-destructive testing, painting and work progress in manufacturing several piles for the reconstruction of the Polcevera Viaduct of Genoa. Our company, proud to participate in this project of national interest, will employ the best inspectors at the Scandiuzzi Steel Constructions plant in Brindisi to guarantee compliance with quality requirements and application of the relevant standard.
Metalprove has got the contract for the execution of Non-Destructive Testing in the construction of the "Variante Spina di Pomezia" natural gas pipeline DN200 DP12 owned by SNAM Rete Gas.
Considering the route of the work that crosses the Pomezia city center, the Client has decided to adopt experimentally semi-automatic ultrasonic testing (Phased Array + TOFD) to replace radiography in weld testing; therefore, for the first time, the aforementioned technology will be applied to pipes of 8 inch diameter and 7 mm thickness.
Metalprove, thanks to its experience and abilities, has taken this important challenge with great enthusiasm.
